Event Details

This is a day to celebrate the traditional vishwakarmas and cherish the professional arts, skills and its practitioners.

Vishwakarma Jayanti is dedicated with reverence to Lord Vishwakarma, the swayambhu architect and the Divine Engineer of the Universe. It is celebrated on the last day of the Bhadra month.  Ritambhara and Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati Research Foundation are anchoring this day to acknowledge, marvel and felicitate the craftsmen and artists carrying this ancient Indian wisdom.

Schedule of the event:
 
PART 1: 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM  

- Welcome address by the hosts, Ritambhara and Dr.V Ganapati Sthapati Research Foundation. 
- Presentation by Ponni Selvanathan on temple built in Hawaii, , showcasing the contribution of the Vishwakarmas  in temple architecture. 
- Introduction and a glimpse of the life and journey of our guests of honour, the Vishwakarmas, followed by felicitation. 
- Interactive session with the Vishwakarmas and the event anchors.    

PART 2: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM  

- Recap of the Part 1 
- Screening of the 1991 National award winning film, “Vaastu Marabu: The Living Tradition- A Shilpi Speaks”, featuring Sri Ganapati Sthapati. 
- Interactive session and discussion on the movie.
